IT’S CORN! Free Crochet Corn Pattern

Simple Crochet Corn Pattern

I’m a sucker for a good auto-tune remix of a viral video. Maybe it’s generational. Needless to say, I found myself half-singing / half-screaming ‘IT’S CORN’ at my husband at random times throughout the day. I had the corn song playing on a loop in my head for days. I was driving myself crazy. I needed an outlet.

Meet Cornelius. He’s simple to make, works up pretty quick, and is the perfect companion to snuggle next to while you’re scrolling through TikToks.

I initially wanted to use a popcorn stitch, corn is ‘a big lump with knobs’ after all, but I’m horrible at designing patterns on paper and wanted to make sure that the crochet corn would have a proportionate shape and size. So a cute little amigurumi corn is what we ended up with! Stay tuned for a second version that’s nice and lumpy 😉
